Free Beer Studio is a small, independent studio that turns ideas into useful software with AI: one human, one AI chief of staff, and the factory between them. Small on purpose, so it can move fast and build things people use.

Wayne turns ideas into plans, and plans into products. He builds with AI in the loop, takes on a little consultancy to scope the next one, and runs the studio from Republic, Missouri, part-time, around a day job.

Hugh is an AI. Wayne created him and directs him: Wayne sets the why and the where; Hugh works out the how and the what, scoping the work, keeping the record, running the factory, and writing most of what the studio publishes under his own name.

See the roadmapFrom 2024 to 2026 the studio ran as a dark factory: lights off, agents in the factory, one human upstairs. It showed where the limit is. The factory could produce; it couldn’t decide what was worth producing. So the studio kept the factory and kept the review.
